Brenda Udunna has over 20 years of combined Supply Chain experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Contracting, Category Management, Supplier Onboarding, Supplier Diversity, Data Management, and Governance. She is passionate about D&I and was nominated as a pioneer Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council member at Apache in 2020. Additionally, she established and led the Global Supply Chain D&I Committee at Apache in 2021. Brenda holds certifications in Supplier Diversity (CPSD), Supply Management (CPSM), Contract & Commercial Management (CCMP & CCME).
Brenda is currently the Manager of Strategy & Performance Analysis at Apache responsible for Supply Chain governance, Supplier Diversity, performance measurement & reporting, learning & development, and supplier onboarding. In addition to developing and implementing a new global policy and new standards and key procedures for the Global Supply Chain function, one of her main focus areas is to launch and lead a Sustainability program which includes Supplier Diversity, Local Content, and Supplier Code of Conduct.
Before joining Apache, she was the Category Lead for the Automation, Instrumentation & Electrical (A/I&E) at Phillips 66 where she was responsible for defining, implementing, managing, and optimizing the strategy for A/I&E spend, which totaled nearly $300MM annually.
Prior to assuming the A/I&E Lead role, she held numerous roles authoring, administering, and managing contract portfolios for A/I&E, Refining, Corporate Services & Contingent Labor, and IT & Telecommunications categories.
Previous to her tenure with Philips 66, she was responsible for the sourcing and procurement of Rotating Equipment in support of all ConocoPhillips refineries in North America.
Brenda has served on numerous boards, including the Board of Directors for Talitha Cumi, a non-profit organization mentoring young girls to overcome challenges. She also served as Communications Chair with the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Houston in 2018/2019 and is currently serving as the ESG and Supplier Diversity & Engagement Chair. She is a member of the API Supplier Diversity Task Force and serves on the HMSDC Supplier Diversity Advisory Committee and the Marketing Committee.
Brenda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Buea – Cameroon, graduated summa cum laude with an MBA from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and holds a Doctorate of Inclusion from the Phillips 66 Inclusion University.
Brenda and her husband, Sabastien, have been married for 20 years and have two boys, ages 19 and 17. She enjoys spending time with her family and mentoring women.
