Jennifer Bass joined Encino Energy as the Chief Human Resources Officer in January 2019. She brings a wealth of experience as a Global Business Executive, Human Resources expert and experienced Board Member, with the powerful combination of international perspective, legal expertise and financial and operational acumen.
As a part of the Encino Executive Committee, she is leading the strategic people initiatives across the company. Her focus is helping build the talent in the organization for the long term and instilling trust, transparency and collaboration.
She has 25+ years of human resources, legal and management consulting experience. Prior to Encino she was the Chief Human Resources Officer & Senior Vice President of Venari Resources LLC, a privately held offshore oil exploration and production company. She was also the Vice President of Human Resources for Direct Energy, a subsidiary of UK-based energy company Centrica. She spent almost nine years in various leadership and management roles with Resources Global Professionals (NASDAQ: RECN), an international professional services firm that formerly was a subsidiary of Deloitte.
Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor at South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration at Texas State University. She is a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Texas Bar Association. Previously she served on the Board of Trustees at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart and Catholic Charities.
She has four children and four grandchildren (fifth on the way) two dogs and a cat. She and her husband, Steve, love to travel and experience different cultures.
