Darren Shelton is a 28-year veteran of the maritime industry having managed multiple shipping agencies and currently serves as director of sales for Moran Shipping where he drives business development with premier global maritime companies.
In 2018 he envisioned a blockchain startup for the energy sector which led to co-founding FuelTrust, an AI driven software company that follows commodities through their lifecycles for supply chain solutions.
Darren has an MBA from the University of East London, adding to his studies at Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas Bible College, Hope International University, and an honorary degree from Alvin Community College where he also presently serves on the Board of Regents. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Lone Star Harbor Safety Committee, which represents 800+ shipping stakeholders in the Houston region, in addition to serving on the boards of several other community organizations.
He and his family reside in the Houston suburb of Alvin TX.
